The crop that comes after a main crop. The function of the catch crop can be a number of things;, soil loosening, nutrient collection, mobilisation of phosphorus in the soil, higher biodiversity, creating habitats for insects and birds and storing carbon. The different species of cover crops have different mechanisms of action.

In the Commodicarbon program you must put in the cover crop prior  to the main crop. If you are in the Field Strategy tab you must therefore type in the cover crop practice you had prior to the upcomming main crop.
