Agroganic Recognized for Driving Green Transition in Agriculture

Danish business newspaper Børsen has named Agroganic a Sustainable Case 2025, because of our work with promoting regenerative agriculture in Denmark. As climate change and biodiversity loss accelerate, the importance of transitioning to sustainable farming practices is clearer than ever.

Each year, Børsen selects around 40 companies across industries for its Sustainable Case initiative. These companies are recognized for their green projects in one of six categories. Agroganic was nominated in the category Combating Climate Change for its commitment to expanding regenerative agriculture.

“We’re of course proud, and we’re seeing a wave of interest in regenerative farming.”

Regenerative agriculture offers multiple benefits: it stores CO₂ in the soil, reduces nitrogen leaching, and significantly boosts biodiversity — all while maintaining crop yields.

“We are facing a time marked by climate change and a biodiversity crisis, and regenerative farming is a promising solution. It brings many positive effects without compromising food production,” says CEO of Agroganic, Niels Peter Ravnsborg.

In 2024, our parent company, Agrovi, launched the Agroganic project in Denmark to promote regenerative farming as a way to improve soil fertility, resilience to extreme weather, and support for biodiversity — from earthworms to insects and birdlife. This approach prepares the soil to better withstand the impacts of climate change.

“Climate change is a defining issue for the food sector. We see developments abroad, and awareness is growing here in Denmark. Hopefully, we’ll now see even greater interest in regenerative agriculture,” Ravnsborg adds.

In addition, Agroganic advised Carlsberg in 2024 on setting criteria for converting to regenerative grain production and Agrovi established a political network with ministers, spokespeople for political parties, and the Danish “Green Tripartite” platform.

An advisory board of six prominent industry figures supported the editorial board behind Børsen Bæredygtig to ensure quality and relevance in the project selections.

Agroganic and Agrovi will participate in the Børsen Sustainable Summit on May 20 at Øksnehallen in Copenhagen, where visitors can learn more about regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, and the future of farming.
